Appointment of Peter Verrept as new CEO of Engicon nv

The Engicon Group is pleased to announce that as of 18 April 2016, Mr. Peter Verrept will be functioning as the CEO of Engicon nv (Geldof). He will be taking over from Mr. Dirk Matthys, CEO since 2013, who will move on to new opportunities outside Europe.

Chairman of the Engicon Group Mr. Marc Meurisse said: “I wish to thank Dirk Matthys for his leadership of Engicon through a period of organizational challenges. He has successfully strengthened our project management office, our core expertise and our operational efficiency. With new opportunities ahead in a market that shows strong potential for further development, the timing is right for Engicon to have a change in leadership. We are very pleased to appoint Peter Verrept, who joined us last year and has quickly established himself as a business leader. He has a proven ability to create strategic clarity, drive innovation and growth, ensure disciplined execution, and deliver results. With him at the helm, I know Engicon is set to enter its next era.”

Mr. Peter Verrept studied Chemistry (PhD) at Ghent University and Executive Management at Vlerick Business School. He joined Engicon in July 2015 as Chief Project Management Officer after having held both operational and management positions in Connect Group, Barco, Alcatel and Agfa Gevaert. Commenting on his new appointment, Peter Verrept said: “I am honored to have been asked to take this role. I am really proud to head the highly competent, customer-oriented Engicon team, which is well respected for its value-driven way of doing business.
