This limestone project includes a storage depot, a handling, breaking, sorting and a lorry loading installation.
The first part enclosed an additional storage depot (silo building with H 22,9 m, L 47,9 m and W 10,8 m) for supplied limestone, meant to make a first selection per calibre, in the beginning of the circuit. A diverter valve was installed underneath the existing conveyer bridge, in order to cast the supplied stones on the existing storage heap or to cast the stones 40 metres further, via the new conveyer bridge. The conveyer bridge was put on 3 hinged legs. Underneath the new dumping site, a conveyer in a concrete tunnel was provided. Outlet openings with vibrating trough, transport the stones to an existing conveyer, which is linked to the existing building with a breaker and sieves.
The second part enclosed the adaption of the existing breaking and sorting installation. Inside the existing buildings a new circuit was drawn. To be able to place all new installations, the buildings were adjusted. New floorings were placed and the building was raised with one floor.
The the start of this project, the stones were sorted out in five sizes and the lorries were loaded by bulldozers. Underneath these 5 piles, there was a cellar. The third part of our project enclosed a new conveyer in that cellar, with below every heap an extraction with tilting trough. This conveyer leads, through a 100 metre long existing tunnel, to a new building in which 5 silos are assembled. To get the right size into the right silo a mobile conveyer, which can fill up 4 silos, passes over the silos. A couple of valves provide that the fifth silo can be filled or that we can convert to a parallel line in the future. Underneath the silos again a conveyer, which gets the stones out of the silos. With the help of the automation, it is possible to make a mixture of the 5 different sizes. And this by putting the right quantities, in layers, on the conveyer. A last mobile conveyer provides that the lorry, which is placed underneath the conveyer, gets filled up fully automatically. The position of the lorry is being detected and the mobile conveyer knows the length of the lorry. Afterwards the product is cast, in layers, into the lorry until the assumed weight is reached. Because of the zigzag movement of the conveyer, the different sizes are divided homogeneously in the lorry.
