The Geldof fabrication area covers a total area of 60,000 m² with crane service, with the workshops accounting for 20,000 m² of that space. They are fully equipped to handle all grades of carbon and stainless steel, heat resistant and low temperature materials, special alloys, clad and weld overlaid materials such as Inconel,Monel and Hastelloy.

The preparation bays have conventional and CNC machining equipment installed and state-of-the-art machinery for flame cutting, rolling, pressing and weld preparation of plates with a wall thickness up to 40 mm. The large assembly bays are equipped with powerful overhead cranes, turntables and rotators and are
efficiently organized in dedicated job shops.

The most suitable welding techniques and equipment are applied for every weld. SAW, GMAW, FCAW, TIG, GTAW, PAW, ESW and SMAW are common techniques for Geldof’s work force.

The integrated mechanical engineering, material management, quality control and the state-of-the-art surface treatment and paint shop guarantee a full in-house service at the highest standards.

Geldof’s facilities are located alongside the Leie River with access to the port of Ghent, Antwerp and other seaports. Our own quay facility enables the loading onto barges of items up to 150 tons, 80 m length and 8 m diameter.
