41 storage tanks

Geldof constructed 41 storage tanks for tank terminal operator Vopak in the port of Amsterdam. The Amsterdam port project, with its total area of 35 hectares, is unique in Western Europe.

It concerns the study, construction, delivery, erection and painting of 41 vertical cylindrical storage tanks.

The largest tanks, with a capacity of 40.000 m³ have a diameter of 48 meters and cover an area the size of 9 tennis courts. The smallest tanks, still good for 2.000 m³, have a diameter of 13 meters. The heights vary from 15 to 22 meters. The floating roof storage tanks have a total capacity of over 1.200.000 m³.

Thanks to this project, Geldof has grown further into an important reference in its sector for Western Europe and beyond.
